SHELTON, CONNECTICUT—Fairway & Greene’s Spring 2008 Collections feature several new exciting categories of lifestyle accessories for Men and Women.
For Men, these include beautifully hand-crafted crocodile belts, luxury Argentinean leather goods, an exclusive silk neckwear collection, and custom-knitted and constructed golf and dress socks of Peruvian Pima cotton.
The Crocodile Belts, available in chocolate and black, are individually chosen skins of superior farm-raised American Crocodiles. Additional features are Italian-tanned, full-grain lining with feather-edge stitching and construction. Hand made in the U.S.A., the belts have a solid brass signature buckle in a polished silver finish. The belts come in a beautiful custom Fairway & Greene suede box, perfect for golf shop display or that special gift for the holidays.
The company’s signature Luxury Leather Goods include a Weekend Duffel Bag and a Travel Kit. Both are hand cut and stitched of the finest Argentinean calf leather, tanned with vegetable oils and feature premier bronze hardware. The duffel is lined in a beautiful gabardine twill, while the travel kit has a waterproof lining to prevent spill damage. Both items come in a custom protective linen bag.
The hand made silk Neckwear is made in the U.S.A. and is designed exclusively for Fairway & Greene. The three-fold-construction of the tie’s lining is comprised of English Wool and carries the F&G signature jacquard lining. There are five neckwear lines—three novelty pattern lines (Signature Golfer, The Back Nine and The 19th Hole) and two classic stripes lines. All neckwear is shipped and sold in a custom Fairway & Greene gift/presentation box.
The Socks include golf peds (white, brown, khaki and black) and dress calf socks (kiwi, sky, banana, pink, light blue, navy, khaki, charcoal and black) made exclusively for Fairway & Greene in Peru with its signature Mercerized Peruvian Pima cotton. The golfer-fit socks feature added dimensional knitting for comfort and durability, and Lycra is added for extra fit and performance.
"We are really excited to move into these new categories," says Todd Martin, President of Fairway & Greene. "Fairway & Greene continues to be the leader in luxury and quality, and our customers look to us for these kinds of products that are becoming increasingly important in the golf shop. They know our quality, know our commitment to the green-grass channel and know that we ship on time and complete. We’re proud to offer our accounts an even wider range of high-end products to help them grow their business and set their golf shop apart."
For Women, Fairway & Greene has expanded on the success of its Introductory Fall 2007 totes and is adding a tumbled leather tote to the selection for Spring.
The new large, white tumbled leather Bag is made of the finest quality, grain and color skins available in the market. The classic, durable tote’s size allows it to be used as a pocketbook and laptop case, and is spacious enough for an extra pair of street or golf shoes. It’s a piece that is perfect to bring to the course or the office.
The tote has a detachable small interior pouch that converts to another purse, complete with strap and closure; a flap and interior zipper on the outside pocket to hold items; an interior cell-phone pocket; a key string/fob; Italian hardware; and a durable, easy-to-clean gabardine interior.
The company has had rave reviews to its revival of the Pom-Pom Ped! The Ped is made with the finest signature Mercerized Peruvian Pima cotton with Lycra added for additional fit and performance, and is available in an extensive assortment of a dozen colors.
"I used to play on the girls’ golf team in high school," says Teri Schleifer, Vice President, Product Design of Fairway & Greene’s ladies’ line. "I would sew my own golf skirts with matching headbands and always made sure to have color-coordinated pom-pom peds. Women’s golf socks are still very masculine and most are not constructed well enough to last through 18 holes of walking without slipping down into your shoe. We thought a little nostalgia, combined with today’s technology in socks, would be the perfect winning combination. We were right and are thrilled to see the results."
Founded in 1995, Fairway & Greene is widely acknowledged as the leader in the high-end green-grass apparel market. With an unparalleled emphasis on product quality, customer service and sales support, the company has rapidly grown and is currently sold in over 3,200 of the finest private clubs, resorts and clubs in the world.
