TEMPE, Ariz. — Featuring a revolutionary elliptical cavity sole design, the new Magique Golf EC2 Hybrid club has been selected for exclusive member testing by the PGA TOUR Partners Club, North America’s largest club of golf enthusiasts. PGA TOUR Partners Magazine revealed the EC2’s selection in its Nov/Dec 2007 issue, and results of the member testing will soon be published in a subsequent issue.
"PGA TOUR Partners is very selective on the golf equipment chosen for testing, so we’re very eager to see the feedback we receive by their membership," says Sean Sheppard, president of Magique Golf. "Our new EC2 hybrid clubs are engineered for generating the optimum trajectory and maximum distance while playing from a variety of ground conditions, and we think it’s one of the most versatile clubs on the market today."
Introduced three months ago, the innovative Elliptical Cavity Soleâ?¢ design provides hybrid versatility for cutting through thick rough or for sliding smoothly over tight fairways. In addition, the EC2 features a lower leading edge design that lifts the ball airborne more quickly and easily. Increased perimeter weighting with an optimized center of gravity position generates a high moment of inertia for greater stability and increased trajectory control. The new EC2 is available in 17-, 22- and 27-degree lofted models.
"For 20 years, Magique Golf has been committed to helping average golfers play better by combining state-of-the-art designs and custom fitting, and the EC2 is a perfect example of that," adds Sheppard. "Not only does the EC2 feature one of the most innovative hybrid designs in the game today, but each EC2 is custom-fit and assembled according to our proprietary 24-point fitting method to perfectly match the EC2 to the player’s individual needs and specifications."
When matched with a set of hybrids or Magique M-series irons, the EC2 Hybrids will also incorporate Magique’s trademarked Gram Matching System (GMS), a proprietary process that carefully sorts and coordinates each component of the golf club prior to assembly. Magique’s GMS method matches each component and achieves perfect balance between the shaft, grip and clubhead — right down to the gram. The result is a highly consistent flex point in each wedge that maximizes performance throughout the swing and at impact.
