ROANOKE, TEXAS – Long Drivers of America (LDA) today announced that Zelocity has become the official launch monitor for LDA-sanctioned events, which includes the RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship, the premier event in power golf.
Zelocity, based in Scottsdale, Arizona, makes state-of-the-art launch monitors, including the PureLaunchï?” and PureContactï?”, which employ sophisticated Doppler radar systems to capture measurements at impact and track the golf ball during flight. Zelocity products are preferred by clubmakers, golf instructors and competitive players in over 47 countries.
"We are delighted to form an association with Zelocity," said LDA chief executive officer Art Sellinger. "We plan to have Zelocity monitors on the practice range at all LDA events. They are invaluable for helping competitors fine-tune their golf swings and produce maximum distance on the tee."
Sellinger also said Zelocity products will be offered to LDA members for purchase at special discount prices through LDA’s retail operation, Sellinger’s Power Golf (www.sellingerspowergolf.com).
"Zelocity is excited about our association with an outstanding organization such as the LDA," said Ken Starr, Co-Founder of Zelocity. "Being the official launch monitor of the LDA enables us to showcase our patented radar-based ball flight products during LDA events. Numerous LDA members and LDA World Champions already use Zelocity products because of their ability to accurately measure very high club speeds, 200+ mph ball velocities, all ranges of launch angles, ball spins and other critical metrics needed for proper club selection during training and competition."
