New Valerie C-Groove Putter In The Winner’s Circle
DENVER, November 5, 2007 – The winner of the Children’s Miracle Network Classic at Disney World won with the new Valerie putter. After making the switch to the C-Groove putter just three weeks ago, the champion rolled in 23 birdies on his way to a four-day total of 17-under par. He averaged just 26 putts per competitive round. His winning check of $828,000 moved him from 65th on the PGA Tour Money List to 31st .
"The Valerie putter has received a great deal of attention from the tour players since we brought it out here in the spring," said Jerry Walters, YES! Golf PGA Tour Representative. "The players like the look of this mallet and really like the way the ball rolls off the face. We have made up several for players to work with in the off-season."
The C-Groove Valerie putter is a face-balanced, double bend shafted mallet head style, constructed of 304 stainless steel with a head weight of 355 grams. It is a compact mallet design with a twist. Valerie’s unique shaft bend reveals more of the face, which combined with a single sight line in the back cavity, makes for extremely easy alignment of the putter face.
On the LPGA Tour, YES! Golf had seven players in the top 20 at the Mizuno Open in Japan, including the runner-up and Laura Davies, who finished T-5th and also used the Valerie putter.
