GX4 raises the bar for single rider cars

Cedar Falls, IA (10/17/07) – "Today there are 46 million disabled Americans and approximately five million of them are candidates to play golf. Many of our young adults are returning from the war in Iraq with injuries that make it difficult, if not impossible, to walk. With the new multi-purpose GX4 Golf Xpress single rider golf car they’ll not only be able to enjoy the game of golf they’ll also be able to enjoy any number of other outdoor activities. " said Jim Egli, owner of Cedar Falls, IA based UPRIGHT Golf and a national distributor/dealer of the new GX4.

Golf Xpress is the oldest single rider car manufacturer in the U.S. and their cars have been popular with disabled players for years. While there are hundreds of Golf Xpress cars at golf courses across the country Egli anticipates that the new GX4 will take the participation levels by physically disabled persons for golf and other outdoor activities to a new level. According to Egli, "The new GX4 is the only single rider golf car on the market that offers a 360-degree swivel seat with infinite stops and an electric KneeDrop option to allow golfers to stand while hitting the ball. At only 450 lbs. the GX4 combines durability and reliability and offers an impressive 1:1 ‘weight to usable load’ ratio. This ratio is extremely important because it’s a really good indicator of what the useful life and duration of the battery-pack will be for the car."

Today, most of the single rider cars are powered by (3) 12-volt, industrial grade, deep-cycle batteries. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to understand that a 450 lb. car will require less battery power to operate than would a 500, 600, or 700 lb. car. At less than $6,000 the new GX4 is the perfect multi-use car for golf, archery, trapshooting, target shooting, disc golf, and any number of other outdoor activities that interest you.
