The original "Spirit of the Game" video was released by the USGA in 1998. Both programs were produced by Cowen Media, an Emmy award-winning company based in New Jersey. The concept came from golf legend Arnold Palmer, who approached the USGA with the idea of an educational outreach program to better explain why etiquette on the golf course is important.
"The Spirit of the Game II" serves as an educational tool to the growing number of new golfers, as well as to tournament volunteers, member clubs, club professionals, state and regional associations and the media.
