#1 Brand on Tour Wins Two This Weekend
Marlborough, MA-November 5th, 2007- CHAMP Spikes, the number one brand on Tour, kept the year’s momentum going with dramatic wins this weekend on the PGA and PGA European Tours.
The final event of the 2007 PGA Tour season was played at the Children’s Miracle Network Classic in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The winner chose CHAMP’s Pro-Stingerâ?¢ spikes to lead him to a final round 4-under 68 for a one-stroke victory. Including the champion, six out of the top ten finishers wore CHAMP Spikes, and 75% of the field chose CHAMP over their original manufacturers.
A double celebration ensued overseas at the Volvo Masters in Valderrama when the victor’s tournament win also placed him atop of the Order of Merit standings. The young winner’s third career victory earned him the Harry Vardon trophy as PGA European Tour’s the top money winner of 2007. The winner chose to wear the industry standard CHAMP Scorpion Stingerâ?¢ spike which has advanced traction elements for greater traction and durability and superior comfort. CHAMP also dominated the leader board with eight out of the top ten finishers wearing CHAMP. Overall 64% of the entire field chose CHAMP over any other spike manufacturer.
