Advance Tickets Go On Sale For The Open Championship At Royal Birkdale

St Andrews, Scotland. 6 November 2007: The R&A has announced ticket prices for next year’s Open Championship at Royal Birkdale, where Padraig Harrington will be the defending champion. Tickets will go on sale online at www.opengolf.com from today.

"We are offering a large saving on season tickets purchased before the end of January 2008. The cost at £180, represents a 40% discount when compared to daily admission charges for the four practice days and the four days of competition," said David Hill, Director of Championships at The R&A.

A daily ticket, on the four Championship days (17-20 July 2008), costs £55. Under-16’s will continue to be admitted free of charge and concessions are available.
