Southern Hills most recently hosted the 2007 PGA Championship won by Tiger Woods, one of its unprecedented four PGA Championships, and has also been the site of three US Opens. Firestone Country Club hosted the best players in the world during the 2007 World Golf Championships – Bridgestone Invitational, the seventh time it has done so, and is known as one of the best golf courses played during the PGA Tour season.
