NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (November 28, 2007) – The 2008 IPAC Expo will feature an exciting lineup of speakers renowned in their fields. The International Professional Association of ClubFitters will present its second annual IPAC Expo Jan. 14-15 in Orlando, Fla., just prior to the PGA Merchandise Show. IPAC members and leaders in clubfitting will unite to exchange ideas, learn from the best in the business, test products and enjoy the camaraderie of their colleagues.
Dr. Jerry Teplitz, author and well-known speaker in the field of holistic health sciences, will give a presentation Monday, Jan. 14, entitled Par and Beyond: Secrets to Better Golf and Better Business.
"I’ll be showing attendees how energetics exist which most people are not aware of in golf and in business, and how this knowledge can enhance the golf and business experience," Dr. Teplitz said.
Also speaking on Monday will be Dr. Christian H. Reichardt, an expert in golf fitness and conditioning. Reichardt, DC, CCSP, is the author of Pain-free Golf, owner of Golf Health and physical therapist to some of the world’s best golfers and Olympic athletes. At the inaugural IPAC Expo, Dr. Reichart showed amazing videos on how professional fitters and teachers can dramatically improve their customers’ games with minimal amounts of conditioning and warm-ups. He is returning by popular demand and will present more in-depth ideas on how professionals can provide a program to assure their customers are more flexible and conditioned, so they can enjoy pain-free golf.
Clay Long, industry veteran and highly-regarded golf equipment designer, also will return to the IPAC Expo by popular demand to speak at the breakfast meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 15. Long, whose experience includes serving as chief designer for OEMs including MacGregor, Cobra, KZG and Nicklaus Golf, designed the first MOI putter, which was used by Jack Nicklaus to win the 1986 Masters.
Adam Barr, reporter for The Golf Channel, will present an opening welcome to attendees and guests at the IPAC Awards Dinner, which will take place Tuesday evening, Jan. 15, at the Sheraton Studio City Hotel in Orlando. Barr’s extensive knowledge of golf business, equipment and technology, as well as his relaxed yet insightful on-air presence, have combined to create a loyal following for this broadcaster.
IPAC, a not-for-profit organization, was formed in 2006 with the following goals: 1) raise the bar for the clubfitting profession by setting guidelines for skill and integrity; 2) educate the public on what to expect and where to go for a first-rate club fitting; 3) educate and mentor new men and women who wish to join the profession; and 4) establish a program for continuing education to maintain the highest standards for the profession.
The IPAC Web site contains a wealth of helpful information to guide golfers as to what to expect in a bona fide fitting and where to go to get a first-rate fitting from a Professional Fitter. Professional Fitters spend years studying and learning their craft. They know clubhead and shaft design, they understand the goals of the golfer and they can analyze data from launch monitors and swing analyzers. True Professionals actually can improve any golfer’s game. Those who have met a specified level of excellence have been admitted into IPAC by their peers of equal skills. For members, the IPAC site offers communication with other members, career postings and information on resources, research and the annual IPAC Expo. Each IPAC member has a page on the Web site listing his facility and contact information, biography, professional credentials and philosophy.
IPAC recognizes and appreciates the aid and support of its Founding Sponsors, including About Golf, Balance-Certified Golf, Explanar, Fit Chip, Henry Griffitts, JR Mats, KZG, NovaTech Shafts, SK Fiber and Zelocity.
