Market Leader Increases Presence in Pacific NorthWest, Canada
(Vancouver, BC, Canada) – Popular golf and sportswear designer Linda Hipp announces that her company, LIJA, has hired Katherine Sivanish, Shawn Woods, the Burton Agency, and Sava Inc. as Sales Representatives to help service rapidly expanding demand.
Sivanish, an exclusive representative for LIJA, will handle key accounts in Washington, Oregon, Montana and Idaho. Woods, a golf professional of more than 20 years, will service clients in Manitoba and Saskatchewan, while the Burton Agency husband-and-wife team will work with customers in Canada’s Maritime provinces.
Sava Inc., a family business with more than 30 years of experience as sales representatives, will represent LIJA to accounts in Quebec. Sava Inc. also represents ECCO and Second Skin.
"Katherine, Shawn, the Burton Agency and Sava Inc. all have extensive experience in the industry and are well-positioned to represent LIJA as a brand that fuses golf, fashion and leisure," says Hipp, principal designer and founder. "They understand the broad appeal of our collections to golfers and non-golfers alike. We’re happy to have them on board."
LIJA’s continued growth as one of North America’s leading golf and sportswear brands has been widely recognized. Most recently, for the third consecutive year PROFIT magazine named the brand among Canada’s 100 fastest growing companies.
The line’s Fall 2007 collections are currently available in stores and online. Shipping of the Spring 2008 collections – including the off-course Life of Leisure apparel – began earlier this month.
LIJA is a staple in finer golf and non-golf retailers across North America, including world-renowned resorts and clubs like Pebble Beach, Doral, Kiawah Island, Whistling Straights and Congressional. The company’s clothing is worn by scores of women golf professionals worldwide.

Individually, Hipp has been honored as a grant recipient of the Matinee Fashion Foundation Award, which annually recognizes and funds select Canadian designers, and voted a "40 Under 40" winner by Business in Vancouver.
An avid and highly-skilled golfer, Hipp struggled to find on-course apparel that meshed with her off-course fashion sensibility. Recognizing a market opportunity – and the chance to combine her passions for fashion, golf and business – Hyp Golf was launched in July 1997. The company re-branded as LIJA in late 2004. Chiefly influenced by both European trends and West Coast style, Hipp has garnered a widespread reputation as one of North America’s hottest sportswear designers.
