LINCOLN, Neb. (November 29, 2007) – The Golf Course Builders Association of America (GCBAA), announces it has elected six new directors to its board and reelected five others. All will begin serving two-year terms at the organization’s board meeting in Orlando, Florida on January 30, 2008.
The newly-elected GCBAA directors include: Gregg Bartold of Niebur Golf; Ron Freund of Genesis Golf Builders, Inc.; Doug Long of Heritage Links; Steve Sakurai of Rain Bird Corporation; Dennis Wagner of Kilpatrick Company and David Zipps of Caterpillar.
Those reelected to the board include: Klaus Ahlers of Leemco, Inc.; Kurt Huseman of Landscapes Unlimited, LLC; Mick Jones of The Toro Company; John McDonald of McDonald & Sons and Scott Pate of Seaside Golf Development.
The new directors join 11 others who will continue to serve as members and officers on the GCBAA board including: Immediate Past President Tom Shapland of Wadsworth Golf Construction; President Bob Pinson of Course Crafters; Vice President Rick Elyea of JacklinGolf,; Treasurer Steve Christman of Eagle Golf and Landscape Products; Rick Boylan of Mid-America Golf & Landscape, Inc.; Bob Bryant of Bryant Taylor Gordon Golf; Glen Caverly of Golf Course Construction, Inc.; Ellen Davis of Waupaca Sand & Solutions-SportZMix; Dave Munkvold of Duininck Brothers Golf; Oscar Rodriguez of Weitz Golf International and Willie Slingerland of Flowtronex.
