ORLANDO, Fla. (Nov. 29, 2007) — Golfweek, the magazine preferred by serious golfers, has just produced the largest publication in its 32-year history – Golfweek’s Definitive Guide to the Golf Life. The 212-page annual features Golfweek’s Best Residential and Resort Courses lists, as well as the first annual Golfweek’s Best Courses of the Caribbean & Mexico list.
"We are thrilled to offer our readers and advertisers an annual that is on an entirely different level than what we have done in the past," said Terry Olson, Golfweek publisher/vice president. "This is the largest magazine we’ve ever published and it represents the best of the best, including Pebble Beach, Kohler, Kiawah, Bandon Dunes, Pinehurst, Briggs Ranch, Southern Highlands – a ‘who’s who’ of golf resorts and upscale golf course communities."
Golfweek’s Definitive Guide to the Golf Life also includes topical stories from several of Golfweek’s sister publications. "This year’s annual looks and feels different from those we’ve done in the past, and we’re confident our readers will utilize it as a guide to locating their next golf getaway or finding their next home on the fairway," said Olson.
Golfweek’s Definitive Guide to the Golf Life includes:
– Detailed descriptions of 79 of the nation’s leading resorts and residential golf course communities
– ACT2, a special section filled with information to help baby boomers navigate and prosper in their "second act" of life
– Tips from Business Jet Traveler magazine on how to get from runway to fairway via private jet
– A guide to protecting treasured assets, complied by Business Insurance magazine.
In addition to appearing within Golfweek’s Definitive Guide to the Golf Life and on Golfweek.com, the Golfweek’s Best Residential Course rankings also appeared in a special advertising section within the Oct. 27 Weekend Edition of The Wall Street Journal. The rankings and accompanying golf course community videos are also available on RealEstateJournal.com. Â
The annual is mailed to active Golfweek subscribers and is offered to Wall Street Journal subscribers. The annual also will be distributed at Golfweek’s Golfest throughout 2008, to members of Meeting Planners International and subscribers of Business Jet Traveler and can be ordered at GolfweekHomes.com for the cost of shipping and handling.
