Miles of Golf Announces its Top 10 Christmas Golf Gifts for ’07

December 4, 2007

Even for an expert like Santa Claus, it’s hard to keep track of all the great gift items on your favorite golfer’s scorecard this Christmas.

Â

Luckily, the experts at Miles of Golf in Ypsilanti (MI) have their own direct-line to the North Pole and have come up with their 2007 Christmas "Top Ten" List for the holiday season.

1. The Maxx Fitting Session ($100-$150): golfers can choose either the Driver Fitting session or the Bag Fitting session. The former uses the launch monitor to analyze conditions with different drivers and shafts, getting the best combination for the player’s game and adding distance; the latter analyzes the rest of the clubs, from long irons, fairways, and hybrids down to wedges, looking for duplications, gaps and clubs not hit consistently. Both fittings are done in the state of the art Cluboratory with Michigan’s first TrackMan measuring device.

2. Kendall Academy Lesson Gift Certificates ($300-$420): will provide a series of lessons for everyone from rank beginners to low handicappers. With heated tees for the winter season, the award-winning Kendall Academy boasts six top-rated PGA teaching professionals skilled and experienced in improving one’s game.

3. Players Club Range Membership ($150): will give a player access to Miles of Golf’s well-maintained practice area and private tee. As a bonus, the membership includes special discounts at local golf courses and northern Michigan resorts.

4. Adams Sets for Women: include bag, putter, and all the rest of the clubs. Comes in a 7-piece set for $399 or 12-piece set for $799.

Â

5. Dunning Golf: New apparel company made in and originating out of Canada, Dunning looks and performs great.Â

6. Range Finder ($270-$370): One of the hottest products on the market, these U.S.G.A. approved distance finders, led by Nikon and Bushnell, also speed play when determining yardage. Accurate yardage and saves time? Who can argue with that!

7. U.S. Kids Junior Clubs ($120-$250): Sets designed for the size and age of any young golfer.

8. Odyssey Putter ($90-$160): The # 1 putter brand made by Callaway Golf. Many different designs including the ever popular Two Ball Putter.

9. Cleveland Wedges ($90-$160): Cleveland Golf continues to excel at making well-designed and eye-pleasing wedges aimed at improving short-game performance. New is the CG series with wider grooves for more control.

10. Ping G10 Series: Ping has introduced a new series of drivers, fairways, irons, and hybrids, all getting superb reviews. Â

Finally as a notable honorable mention, the elves at Miles of Golf recommend Dancin’ Dogg Golf, an affordable ($399) and laptop-driven simulator and swing analyzer that’s also bundled with the popular EA Sports Tiger Woods PGA Tour ’08 game. And for those still seasonally challenged, a gift certificate always makes sense.

In addition to its retail operation, Miles of Golf boasts the aforementioned Kendall Academy, long-recognized as one of the state’s top instructional facilities. Its staff of year-round PGA professionals includes 5 teachers ranked "Best in the State" by Golf Digest. And for those still seasonally challenged, a gift certificate always makes sense.
