LAURINBURG, N.C. â?¦ Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation announced today that according to the authoritative 2007 Darrell Survey results, the majority of golfers who played in both the PGA TOUR Q-School and LPGA Tour Q-School depended on Golf Pride® grips.
Golf Pride grips were used by 87.3 percent of the 166 elite golfers who played in the final stages of PGA TOUR Q-School held at Orange County National near Orlando, Fla., November 28 – December 3.
Meanwhile, Golf Pride grips were used by 83.7 percent of the 137 women competing in the final 90 holes of LPGA Q-School played on the Legends and Champions courses at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Fla., November 28 – December 2. In fact, Golf Pride was the grip of choice for 14 of the 17 players winning exempt status on the 2008 LPGA Tour.
"With 166 men competing for only 25 Tour cards and 137 women playing to determine the 17 fully exempt spots, Q-School is one of the most grueling contests in golf," said Jeff Fiorini, general manager for Eaton’s Golf Grip Division. "Given the demanding conditions and extreme pressure, we’re excited to see that the majority of these talented players relied on Golf Pride grips for maximum confidence, feel and control to play their best during this ultimate test of golf."
Eaton’s Golf Grip Division is the world’s largest manufacturer of golf grips, with manufacturing, sales and distribution facilities on five continents.
