LAURINBURG, N.C. â?¦ Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation announced its extended line of Golf Pride grips for 2008 with performance, style and fit at the center of the new product line. Among the Golf Pride grips to be released in 2008 are new vibrant color and size options for the DD2®, fresh colors for the popular New Decadeâ?¢ MultiCompound swing grip and a new Tour Velvet® .620 core grip.
"For 2008, we expanded the variety of options on our most popular and high tech grip lines to offer more colors and sizes," said Jeff Fiorini, general manager of Eaton’s Golf Grip Division. "The fresh new colors will give golfers a greater opportunity to personalize their style on the course, without compromising the performance and feel of their grip."
Based on popularity and success stemming from its introduction last year, the DD2 is now available in three new colors, an undersized model and a ribbed version. New colors include lime green, blue and red, which complement the already popular yellow model. Seen on the PGA TOUR, the DD2 is a technically advanced grip that combines a firm core for stability with a soft exterior for comfort and control. Extending to the surface in key areas, the black base material creates a visual thumb placement guide while providing additional stability. The DD2 is designed for all skill levels and provides the superior durability and performance expected from a Golf Pride grip.
The New Decadeâ?¢ MultiCompound is the hottest swing grip in golf and is available in two new colors; sky blue and yellow. The grip fuses high-performance rubber, providing comfort and responsiveness for the lower hand, with the moisture management and traction properties of cord for the upper hand. The MultiCompound is the ultimate in form and function.
With heavy use on professional golf tours and by millions of amateur golfers worldwide, Golf Pride’s Tour Velvet is the most widely played grip in golf. To meet the needs of the evolving golf equipment landscape, the Tour Velvet is now available in a .620 core size to accommodate larger diameter shaft sizes or for undersizing the grip on a standard size shaft. The Tour Velvet combines a state-of-the-art rubber-blend compound with a computer-designed non-slip surface pattern for maximum playability, comfort and confidence.
"The world’s top golfers rely on Golf Pride grips to play their best during competition at the highest level. We encourage players of all skill levels to make sure they choose a grip that gives them the confidence to play their very best," said Fiorini. "We have a proud heritage of manufacturing the number one grips in golf, and we are pleased to offer stylish options to suit every golfer’s game."
