GILBERT, AZ. (December 10, 2007) – Player’s Pass, a national company that markets a discount golf membership program featuring half-price and reduced fee golf at golf courses nationwide, announced the appointment of Linda Mancini as Ambassador in the Northern California region. Mancini is the next in a series of Ambassadors that are being appointed across the country.
The Ambassador program is part of the effort by Player’s Pass to establish a national direct marketing campaign. Until recently, Player’s Pass was sold primarily by high school student athletes as a fundraising vehicle. Now, with the establishment of the direct marketing program, the general public can receive those same discounts by purchasing a Player’s Pass membership through the website at www.playerspass.com, at golf retail outlets and golf courses in numerous cities.
Mancini, as Ambassador in the Northern California region, will service area golf courses affiliated with Player’s Pass and work directly with members and prospective members at a series of events throughout the year. Additionally, she will present our Player’s Pass program to courses throughout the Northern California region, giving course owners, managers and golf professionals the opportunity to affiliate with the prestigious Player’s Pass.
Mancini has extensive experience in the golf industry. Among her many accomplishments, she has developed sales and marketing plans for a new golf course, established identity for the golf course and new clubhouse within the surrounding communities, managed the website and database for the championship golf course and sold, organized and managed golf tournaments. And of particular interest to Player’s Pass, she has planned and handled all of the logistics for golf group travel weekends and designed and implemented Rewards Club membership programs which has resulted in repeat customers for golf courses.
In addition, she worked for the Siebel Classic – a Champions PGA Tournament,
as well as working as a tournament operations manager, business development director and tournament sales director at a number of golf clubs. Her professional affiliations include Tee’d Off Singles Golf Club, National Association of Tournament Golf Directors and Marketing Consultant for GolfTec. "I feel that I can use my extensive experience within the golf industry and my passion for the game of golf to promote Player’s Pass", said Mancini.
Andy Mears, President of Player’s Pass and a member of the Growth of the Game Committee in the Michigan Section PGA, realizes the value of having golf-savvy Ambassadors in place throughout the country. Mancini’s background in various segments of the golf industry and love of golf make her a natural as a Player’s Pass Ambassador.
"The Ambassadors will be our field force of golf-knowledgeable representatives who will build relations with the courses as well as the golfers," said Mears. "They are another part of our focus to grow the game of golf, and make it more enjoyable and affordable for people. They will carry out our objective of getting people to play more golf for less money."
Mears will continue hiring and training a number of Player’s Pass Ambassadors and local representatives in key cities, to bring the program to the grass roots level.
