ORLANDO, Fla., (Dec. 10, 2007) – In its December 8/15 issue, Golfweek magazine will publish the 2007 Golfweek’s Best Casino Courses list, marking the second time Golfweek has specifically ranked casino golf courses.
"The list of our top-25 casino courses includes an amazing range of design styles," said Bradley S. Klein, National Director of Golfweek’s Best course rating program. "From the marquee theatrical showmanship of Shadow Creek in Las Vegas, ranked No. 1, to the sublime North Country woodlands sensibility of Wilderness at Fortune Bay in Minnesota, ranked No. 10."
The ratings are derived directly from the annual list of Golfweek’s Best Courses, published each March since 1997. Golfweek’s Best Courses are ranked by 450 raters throughout the country, who judge on the basis of 10 evaluation criteria. Rankings are calculated using a statistically rigorous process. Â
In addition to ranking Casino Courses, Golfweek also ranks Golfweek’s Best Classic and Modern golf courses, Residential, Resort, New and Public Access golf courses, as well as Courses of the Caribbean & Mexico.
The criteria for evaluating the golf courses, and Golfweek’s Best Classic, Modern, and a comprehensive state-by-state list, may be found at Golfweek.com.
