Greensboro, Ga. (December 12, 2007) – The Oconee Course Golf Shop at Reynolds Plantation was recently honored among the "100 Best Golf Shops in America" of 2008 by GOLF WORLD. The fifth consecutive win for the shop, the award recognizes excellence in golf retail merchandising, led this year at The Oconee Course Golf Shop by Director of Retail Merchandise Jean Silbereisen and Head Golf Professional Mike Davenport.
The award ranks shops in four categories: public, private, resort and off-course. This year, The Oconee Course Golf Shop earned its win in the resort category, the criteria of which included merchandising strategy, visual presentation and financial performance. The golf shop’s physical size and rounds played are also included.
