Performance Apparel Leader Shines in Seventh Annual Business & Equipment Awards
(Markham, Ontario) – Trend-setting performance apparel designer Ralph Dunning announces that his company – Dunning Golf – has received several distinctions as part of the seventh annual ScoreGolf Business & Equipment Awards, including the brand’s Tour Stretch SL Jacket being named 2007 "Canadian Product of the Year."
The awards, which were announced December 13, also featured nominations for Dunning Golf as "Canadian Company of the Year" and Ralph Dunning as "Canadian Executive of the Year," alongside a designation for the brand as an overall leader in the apparel category.
"For functionality, style and fit, the Tour Stretch SL jacket is a breakthrough in foul weather or any weather playability," said Rick Young, ScoreGolf business and equipment columnist
"These distinctions are a great way to cap a tremendous year," says Dunning, company founder and principal designer. "With Zach Johnson winning the Masters in our complete apparel system, the expansion of our controlled, on-course distribution network and growing reputation as the category leader, we’re ideally positioned heading into 2008."
Crafted in conjunction with an elite PGA Tour staff that includes Johnson, John Senden and Kyle Thompson, among others, Dunning’s Spring 2008 collection features classic designs and sharp, clean athletic pieces drawn from an exquisite palette of bright, traditional and muted colors. Items like the Interface Pique Winston Polo and Merino Wool Technical Pullover – a unique blend of merino wool, polyester and nylon with a rich look and soft hand – continue to expand the horizons of fabric technology in golf apparel.
The head-to-toe collection includes polos, pants, shorts, compression undergarments, thermal tops and sweaters, outerwear, accessories, headwear and "lifestyle" shirts. All showcase Dunning Golf’s unrivalled attention to detail in proprietary fabric technologies which ensure increased airflow, moisture wicking, breathability and UV protection that will not wash- or wear-out for the life of a garment.
Dunning Golf is found at prestigious on-course shops throughout North America, such as Coppinwood Golf Club, Dallas National Golf Club, Hazeltine National Golf Club, Isleworth Country Club, Ritz Carlton Golf Club (Jupiter, FL), Sherwood Country Club, Southern Highlands Golf Club, Trump National, Wynn Las Vegas and Vaquero Club. The line is also available at Canada’s premier golf retailer, Golf Town.
