MIAMI – Strategic Shaft Technologies, L.C., proudly announces it will exhibit its industry-acclaimed SST PURE® Shaft Alignment System at the 2008 PCS Golf Equipment Technology Conference. The Conference will be held at the Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club in Palm Harbor, Fla., January 12, 2008 through January 15, 2008.
SST will present information about its patented shaft alignment technology which is now used by more than 200 players on the PGA and European Tours; and which is available to golfers of all skill levels through custom clubmakers and manufacturers in North America, Europe and Australia.

Strategic Shaft Technologies has completed its eighth consecutive year on the PGA Tour, and the SST PURE Shaft Alignment Technology has been used by more players than ever before, explains Sheppard. The SST PURE Shaft Alignment Technology scored a record year this season for earnings on the PGA TOUR and tallied 21 PGA Tour victories which included two major championships, the Canadian Open and the Order of Merit for the second consecutive year. Total earnings exceeded $94 million, surpassing the 2006 mark by $24 million.
Using proprietary computer software and sensitive data-acquisition sensors, the SST PURE® shaft alignment process analyzes the structural irregularities that exist to some degree in every golf shaft and locates the shaft’s most stable orientation. By assembling the club with the shaft in its SST PURE® orientation, off-line bending and twisting of the shaft are minimized and impact repeatability on the center of the clubface by the golfer improves by up to 51 percent. The process can be performed on existing clubs, new clubs or new shafts – steel or graphite – from all major manufacturers.
