New York, NY, December 2007 – Jack Nicklaus Sportswear will launch a stunning Fall 2008 collection at the PGA Merchandise Show in January. Taking its cues from the legendary career of the Golden Bear, style and performance harmonize to create a signature menswear collection for both on and off the course. Highlights for the new season include the expansion of Performance 18 into new product categories, the debut of Sport Fit and exciting heritage pieces that will draw nostalgia from golf enthusiasts the world over.

Performance 18 features technical fabrics that incorporate UV protection and Coolplus® technology. New product offerings include sophisticated Teflon-coated sweaters and vests that are windproof and waterproof with highly breathable linings. A lightweight rain suit is lined with bonded mesh, allowing greater freedom of movement. Flat front and pleated Coolmax trousers round out the technical bottoms assortment. In honor of golf’s greatest, the Golden Bear logo is showcased prominently on the back yoke of an array of brightly colored, solid performance shirts, as well as on the soft, molded zipper pulls and back yokes of vibrant outerwear pieces.

Legacy 18 represents the highest quality in pure fiber golf styles. This assortment features double-mercerized cotton knits, nylon and corduroy trousers and a grand array of sweaters in Italian merino wool, pima cotton and Scottish cashmere. Following the lemon yellow Heritage Polo that earned its own place in history at the 1986 Masters, Fall 2008 debuts additional heritage pieces. A white, red and blue striped golf shirt transports you back to the shirt that Nicklaus wore stylishly on the green at the height of his storied career. A navy and marine Italian merino argyle is a throwback to the sweater that he donned while famously sporting the Claret Jug at the 1978 British Open.

For the golfer who appreciates classic styling but craves a more tailored fit, the new Sport Fit responds to his need by offering a shorter body, shorter sleeves and a shorter placket in both performance and double-mercerized cotton fabrics.

Jack Nicklaus Sportswear continues to focus on the importance of color with deliveries inspired by the distinct landscapes of four Jack Nicklaus Signature Courses. Valhalla in Louisville features red, white and navy, celebrating Team USA at the Ryder Cup. Royal blue, spring green and black reflect the terrain of The Cliffs at Keeowee Falls. The rich color group representing Moon Palace, Cancun plays off of the Mexican Riviera with festive hues of magenta, fiesta orange and sandstone. Mayacama, deep in Sonoma wine country, conjures images of grape against a pale blue sky at sunrise and heather grey horizons at twilight.

All Jack Nicklaus Sportswear products are backed by the Hartmarx commitment to quality and excellence. The Hartmarx Corporation produces and markets business, casual, and golf apparel for both men and women through a broad range of retail channels.
