2008 Major Tournament Schedule

(Rutland, VT) – The Vermont Golf Association 2008 Major Tournament Schedule is released effective today. Major tournaments include: the Spring Four-Ball, Vermont Amateur, Vermont Mid-Amateur, and Vermont Senior Amateur.

The Four-Ball will take place on May 3 and 4 at the Dorset Field Club, Gleneagles at Equinox, Manchester Country Club, and Rutland Country Club. The VGA will hold the Vermont Amateur at Rutland Country Club on July 8 through July 10. Qualifiers for the Amateur will be at Proctor-Pittsford Country Club on June 12, Manchester Country Club on June 17, Kwiniaska Country Club on June 19, and Orleans Country Club on June 24. The Vermont Mid-Amateur will occur at Green Mountain National on August 21 through August 24. The Vermont Senior Amateur will take place at Brattleboro Country Club on September 3 and September 4.

Tournament applications for all the major tournaments are available on the Vermont Golf Association website at www.vtga.org. Competitors may use the website to apply and pay the application fee.
