(Markham, Ontario) – Trend-setting performance apparel designer Ralph Dunning announces that his company – Dunning Golf – has extended its endorsement agreement with PGA Tour star Zach Johnson.
Under the terms of this multi-year agreement, the 2007 Masters and AT&T Classic champion will wear Dunning Golf exclusively during all on-course activities, appear in company advertising and marketing initiatives, and play a key role in developing the brand’s complete, golf-specific apparel system. The 31-year-old Iowa native will also display the Dunning logo on his left shirt sleeve and back yoke.
“Ralph Dunning has a unique understanding of how to combine style, fit and performance in a way that allows me to look and play my best in all conditions,” says Johnson. “He’s created a complete apparel system that’s unlike anything else on Tour and I’m excited to continue our relationship.”
“Zach has superb personal style and truly understands how a properly constructed wardrobe helps him perform his best,” says Dunning, company founder and principal designer. “He’s a great ambassador for the game and our brand.”
In addition to his two wins, Johnson’s 2007 campaign included three top-10s, highlighted by a runner-up finish at the Tour Championship that featured a third-round 60 at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta. He finished the season eighth on the PGA Tour Money List and currently stands No. 15 on the Official World Golf Ranking.
Crafted in conjunction with an elite PGA Tour staff that also includes John Senden and Kyle Thompson, among others, Dunning’s Spring 2008 collection features classic designs and sharp, clean athletic pieces drawn from an exquisite palette of bright, traditional and muted colors. Items like the Interface Pique Winston Polo and Merino Wool Technical Pullover – a unique blend of merino wool, polyester and nylon with a rich look and soft hand – continue to expand the horizons of fabric technology in golf apparel.
The head-to-toe collection includes polos, pants, shorts, compression undergarments, thermal tops and sweaters, outerwear, accessories, headwear and “lifestyle” shirts. All showcase Dunning Golf’s unrivalled attention to detail in proprietary fabric technologies which ensure increased airflow, moisture wicking, breathability and UV protection that will not wash- or wear-out for the life of a garment.
Dunning Golf is found at prestigious on-course shops throughout North America, such as Coppinwood Golf Club, Dallas National Golf Club, Hazeltine National Golf Club, Isleworth Country Club, Ritz Carlton Golf Club (Jupiter, FL), Sherwood Country Club, Southern Highlands Golf Club, Trump National, Wynn Las Vegas and Vaquero Club. The line is also available at Canada’s premier golf retailer, Golf Town.
