Because of the rolling terrain, designer Mike Young of Athens, GA, sculpted a course with elevation changes unusual for courses in the area. There are majestic maples and pines, and nine of the eighteen holes have water that factor into play. The course was given 4-1/2 stars in the annual “Places to Play” list issued by Golf Digest for 2004-2005 and 2006-2007. In 2002, Southern Hills was selected by Golf Digest as one of the top five golfing values in the US and third best for service in the entire country.
Located in a scenic area amid luxuriant oaks and pines and abundant wildlife, this is a great place to hold an outing with a getaway-from-it-all feeling. They have four sets of tees so that every player can find a length that fits their game. Even the non-golfers will have a blast as the Club provides complimentary use of an eight seat ’23 Ford T-Bucket Golf cart so the non-golfers can tour the course in style and socialize with the rest of the group.
Southern Hills is utilizing the Crescent Point of Sale, Inventory, Tee Sheet, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and General Ledger modules. They will also use Crescent’s Fine Dining software in their spacious, new clubhouse that can handle up to 200 guests for parties, weddings, golf outings and business meetings.
