Curtis Circulation Company, Golf Tips’ national newsstand distributor, announced recently that strong sales of Golf Tips Magazine during 2007 have fueled an expansion into 3,706 new dealers for 2008-a 26.5% increase in the number of points of sale. Along with this additional distribution is a 13% increase in copies on top of the publication’s already large current readership of 625,000. GT’s highly-focused content will now reach significantly more golfers looking to get the most out of their game. What makes these numbers all the more impressive is this unprecedented growth comes at a time when market conditions have become increasingly more difficult.

For nearly 20 years, Golf Tips Magazine has earned a reputation for being the game’s most in-depth instruction, equipment and travel resource. GT is for the serious golfer who plays the game with passion. The magazine’s expert editorial staff connects with the audience like no other, which is why the number of Golf Tips followers has continued to multiply dramatically over the past two decades. The audience shares one common goal-to play better golf.

“By design we’ve eliminated distracting clutter and general interest features that our competitors need to produce to attract the broader audience of occasional golfers, golf fans and non-endemic advertisers. Our content is targeted at the passionate golfer who looks for an efficient, effective and consistent source of instruction, travel tips and equipment information,” says Dave Brennan, publisher of Golf Tips Media Group.

Golf Tips’ staff has created a foundation that delivers quality instruction with both immediate utility and relevance, which is why more and more golfers turn to GT for advice when making purchasing decisions for their game. Golf Tips Magazine remains undeterred in its pursuit to deliver the best print audience in golf-serious golfers yielding better returns on advertising investments.
