LAKE MARY, FL – Short-game guru Dave Pelz will take the stage in the ING Hospitality Room at the PGA Merchandise Show next week at the Orange County Convention Center. All media attending the PGA Show are invited to attend the Q&A, conducted by the not-for-profit networking organization, the International Network Of Golf.
Pelz will appear in ClubING, Room 309-A, Thursday at 6 p.m. during a media cocktail reception sponsored by Golfpac Travel and GolfOrlando. He wil appear on behalf of Almost Golf. Pelz will answer questions and discuss theories and techniques that helped build his reputation as the game’s foremost authority on the short game. PGA Tour professionals Phil Mickelson, Vijay Singh, Mike Weir and others have relied on Pelz’s advice.
Pelz has also helped thousands of amateur golfers via his popular Scoring Game schools, books, articles in GOLF magazine and his 13 half-hour shows yearly on The Golf Channel. Annually listed among the top 10 teachers in the world by GOLF and Golf Digest, Pelz was name by Digest as one of he 25 most influential instructors of the 20th Century.
Earlier that day in ClubING at 12:30, the 15th Annual ING Media Awards Presentation Press Conference will take place. Some of the best and brightest golf media will be recognized in 13 categories. Also taking place in ClubING is the 15th Annual ING Industry Honors Presentation Press Conference, Nominees in 12 golf business-related categories will be recognized, and winners announced in this awards ceremony, known by many as “the Academy Awards of the golf industry.” CBS Golf commentator Mary Bryan will serve as master of ceremonies on Friday, 12:30 p.m.
LPGA Tour Commissioner Carolyn Bivens will do a Q&A presentation during the C-Thru Grips-sponsored Happy Hour on Friday, 5:30 pm in ClubING.
