Brentwood, Tennessee, January 8, 2008 … PrideSports, maker of Softspikes® golf cleats, the world’s best selling cleat brand, captured the PGA TOUR’s first event of 2008, as the winner of the Mercedes-Benz Championship wore the Pulsar™ cleat, the #1 Cleat on TOUR. In addition to the victory, 2008 marks the 12th consecutive year that PrideSports’ plastic cleats will start the season as the #1 brand on the PGA TOUR, according to the independent Darrell Survey. Additionally, PrideSports heads into 2008 as the #1 brand in worldwide plastic cleat sales at the combined retail, specialty, green grass and off-course channels.
