PGA Tour Rookie Prefers Brand’s Comfort, Fit, Style and Performance
(Markham, Ontario) — Trend-setting performance apparel designer Ralph Dunning announces that his company — Dunning Golf — has extended its endorsement agreement with 2007 Nationwide Tour graduate Kyle Thompson.
Under the terms of this agreement, the 28-year-old South Carolina native will continue to wear Dunning Golf exclusively during all on-course activities and display the brand’s logo on his left chest and shirt sleeve.
"I’ve worn Dunning Golf’s complete apparel system while competing in all conditions and know that it’s fit and performance help me play my best," says Thompson.
"Kyle had a great 2007 and we’re happy to support him as he advances to the PGA Tour," says Dunning, company founder and principal designer. "His game and personality are a nice complement to Zach Johnson, John Senden and our other staff players."
Thompson’s 2007 Nationwide Tour campaign included wins at the Rex Hospital Open and Oregon Classic, as well as top-10s at the Prince George’s County Open and Pete Dye Classic. He earned nearly $250,000 to finish No. 14 on the Money List and secure his 2008 PGA Tour card.
Crafted in conjunction with an elite PGA Tour staff, Dunning’s Spring 2008 collection features classic designs and sharp, clean athletic pieces drawn from an exquisite palette of bright, traditional and muted colors. Items like the Interface Pique Winston Polo and Merino Wool Technical Pullover — a unique blend of merino wool, polyester and nylon with a rich look and soft hand — continue to expand the horizons of fabric technology in golf apparel.
The head-to-toe collection includes polos, pants, shorts, compression undergarments, thermal tops and sweaters, outerwear, accessories, headwear and "lifestyle" shirts. All showcase Dunning Golf’s unrivalled attention to detail in proprietary fabric technologies which ensure increased airflow, moisture wicking, breathability and UV protection that will not wash- or wear-out for the life of a garment.
Dunning Golf is found at prestigious on-course shops throughout North America, such as Coppinwood Golf Club, Dallas National Golf Club, Hazeltine National Golf Club, Isleworth Country Club, Ritz Carlton Golf Club (Jupiter, FL), Sherwood Country Club, Southern Highlands Golf Club, Trump National, Wynn Las Vegas and Vaquero Club. The line is also available at Canada’s premier golf retailer, Golf Town.
The Spring 2008 collection will begin shipping in January and retail from $35 for some compression undergarments to $700 for select Tour Stretch outerwear. Short sleeve polos in solid, two-tone and stripe options retail from $69-$109. Sizes range from XS-2XL in tops (select pieces in 3XL) and 30"-42" in bottoms.
