Unique Partnership Aims to Cure a Golf Swing and Help Cure Diabetes.

Hollywood, FL – (January 9, 2007) – The Diabetes Research Institute Foundation and Swingdicator LLC today announced a new partnership that will help golf enthusiasts, from beginner to pro, improve their swing while helping to further research toward a cure for diabetes. A portion of the proceeds of all Swingdicator sales will support the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to fund research at the world-renowned Diabetes Research Institute (DRI) at the University of Miami.

The Swingdicator System is an easy to use and effective golf swing training method that consists of the Swingdicator swing aid and an instructional DVD starring PGA Tour Professional Scott Verplank. The Diabetes Research Institute Foundation logo will be printed on the Swingdicator System product and packaging to indicate the company’s commitment to supporting the cure-focused work being conducted at the DRI. Swingdicator’s dedication for the cause stems from a direct, personal connection to diabetes.

“I’ve lost a leg to diabetes and there are millions of others who are suffering from this debilitating disease,” said Swingdicator founder Steve Porter, who has been living with type 1 diabetes for 22 years. “Our mission is two-fold. We can cure your golf swing. And with continued support of the Diabetes Research Institute, we will see a cure for diabetes.”

Boasting undeniable results, the Swingdicator System DVD featuring Verplank, who also has type 1 diabetes, teaches viewers how to use the Swingdicator swing aid to properly align one’s grip and indicate the perfect swing plane, effectively eliminating slices and hooks. Many PGA teaching pros who have tested the product consider it to be the easiest and most effective swing aid on the market. Due to its simplicity and portability, it can be taken anywhere to quickly tune up a swing on the driving range or on the course.

“The Swingdicator System is going to help a lot of golfers stay on the cutting edge of their game. Likewise, the Diabetes Research Institute is on the cutting edge of cure-focused diabetes research. It’s a natural fit, and it’s because of the generosity of companies like Swingdicator and other concerned individuals that we’re one step closer to our ultimate goal – a cure for the millions of children and adults living with diabetes,” said Robert A. Pearlman, president and CEO of the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation.

Golf enthusiasts and anyone looking to improve their golf game can purchase the Swingdicator System for $29.95 plus shipping at www.swingdicator.com.

The sole mission of the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation is to support the Diabetes Research Institute, a center of excellence at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and a recognized world leader in cure-focused research. Since its inception in the early 1970s, the DRI has made significant contributions to the field of diabetes research, pioneering many of the techniques used in islet transplantation. From innovations in islet isolation and transplant procedures to advances in cell biology and immunology, the DRI is now harnessing the power of emerging technologies to develop new cell-based therapies to restore insulin production. For the millions of families already affected by diabetes who are looking to the world of science for answers, the Diabetes Research Institute is the best hope for a cure.
