Veteran PGA Member to lead USA business development for High Definition Golf? simulators

ONTARIO, Canada – Interactive Sports Technologies (IST) has selected Randy Cavanaugh to serve as Director of Business Development. Cavanaugh will be based out of IST’s new High Definition Golf™ showroom in Alpharetta, Ga. He will be responsible for business development and management of national and strategic accounts.

“Randy has an impressive background as a player, instructor and administrator,” said Todd Richardson, CEO of IST. “As an experienced PGA professional, he recognized immediately the value our new technology brings to the golf industry. His vision has helped shape our product and I have no doubt that in his new role he will help grow our company.”

Before joining IST, Cavanaugh was a senior consultant at TradeWind Ventures, a management consulting and boutique investment banking firm. His professional golf career began in 1976 and includes PGA and International Tour experience as well as positions at Winged Foot and Seminole Golf Clubs. Cavanaugh became a PGA Member in 1982 and served as Head Professional and Director of Golf at three metropolitan New York clubs until 2003.

“I’m excited about this new technology and what it means for golfers and industry professionals. Simulators used to be just toys, but not this one. I’ve seen beginners and tour professionals improve using this system. It provides excellent information,” said Cavanaugh.

IST technology was originally developed for automated quality control in high-tech manufacturing facilities where tolerances are only one ten-thousandth of an inch. The system was designed to operate 24/7/365 in harsh environments. High Definition Golf systems track, measure and project club path and face angle, as well as ball launch variables to one tenth of a degree.

High Definition Golf simulators offer play, practice, compete and learning modes on some of the world’s best championship courses. The Professional Studio platform integrates available modules like TrackmanTM and Jim McLean CoachingTM for highest quality instruction and club-fitting. All High Definition Golf systems are HDTV compatible so cable and satellite TV, video game systems and DVD’s can be projected on the big screen, making it a perfect home theater system.

Interactive Sports Technologies is based in Ontario, Canada. The company’s proprietary technology makes its High Definition Golf™ system the most accurate, most realistic, and most versatile simulator available. High Definition Golf units are used in golf facilities, resorts, retail locations, sports bars and homes. For more information, visit www.HighDefinitionGolf.com .
