ORLANDO, FL (January 14, 2008) – The super successful Mike Bender Golf Academy is expanding to another Kitson & Partners-owned golf facility, Stoneybrook West in Winter Garden, FL.
The Grand Opening is set for Saturday, January 19 at 11 a.m., and will feature a Demo Day by Nike Golf, video analysis, swing evaluations and a free clinic by Mike Bender, ranked among the top 10 golf instructors in the world by Golf Digest.
The general public is invited to the grand opening, which will conclude with a Bender clinic at 1:30 p.m. Anyone who brings a golf club to donate to junior golf will receive a free invitation to a future Saturday golf clinic at the Mike Bender Golf Academy.
Bender’s other school in Central Florida is located at another Kitson & Partners property, Timacuan Golf Club in Lake Mary, FL. The academy there began gaining in popularity following successful professional tour seasons by some of his top students in 2006. It skyrocketed following Zach Johnson’s Masters victory in 2007.
Along with Johnson, Bender’s other professional tour students have included two-time U.S. Open champion Lee Janzen, Skip Kendall, Steve Pate, 2006 LPGA Tour Rookie Of The Year Seon Hwa Lee, tour winner Joo Mi Kim, Vicky Goetz and many more.
“We are very excited to be opening a new location at Stoneybrook West,” said Bender, who will be joined at the grand opening by lead instructor Chris Brown. “This is a wonderful golf facility (Arthur Hills design) on the west side of Orlando, an area that is really growing.”
Kitson & Partners’ C.O.O. Of Clubs, Mike Rippey, sees the value of relationship between Bender and Kitson.
