Educational Tour of Palm Beach County Follows PGA National Resort & Spa?s Selection as the Group?s ?2007 Golf Resort of the Year? for North America
Palm Beach Gardens, FL (January 11, 2008) – January 14 through 17 PGA National Resort & Spa will host a group of 16 expert international golf travel planners and members of the media for an extensive four-day visit to the resort. The esteemed group is visiting Palm Beach County to gain a more in-depth expertise in all that the newly renovated PGA National Resort has to offer both leisure and avid golfers. The group’s four day itinerary includes a round of golf on the famous Champ course at PGA National, tours of the property’s numerous health and leisure facilities, group meetings and a tour of Palm Beach County.
The travel planners and members of the media visiting Palm Beach Gardens this week represent the leadership of the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO). IAGTO members represent golf tour operators from 40 different countries, all of whom have the opportunity to cast their vote for annual awards honoring the “Golf Resort of the Year” from North America, Europe and the Rest of the World. PGA National Resort & Spa was honored as the “2007 Golf Resort of the Year” for North America at a special ceremony in Andalucía, Spain.
