New Design Complements the Original Jumbo Putter Grip
Stroke Solutions, Inc., maker of the SuperStroke™ Putter Grip, is publicly unveiling its all-new ProLine Series during this week’s PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, FL.
The ProLine Series grips, which feature bold new designs and colors plus a new surface material, will be available for general shipment in early March and are expected to be in play with some PGA, Champions Tour or Nationwide Tour players before that.
“The first thing you notice about the ProLine grips is their obvious visual appeal, but we’re perhaps even more excited about their softer, tackier surface feel,” said Ron Creten, president of Stroke Solutions. “The R&D on these models was based on input from PGA, Champions and Nationwide Tour players in 2007, so we’re confident that you’ll see extensive professional play on the grip throughout the 2008 season.”
The new ProLine grips join the enormously popular Classic Series SuperStroke grips, which are now offered in red or blue as well as the original charcoal gray model that helped propel PGA Tour pro KJ Choi to his best season ever in 2007. Choi, the world’s ninth-ranked player and a six-time winner on the PGA Tour, won twice on tour last year and finished fifth in the FedEx Cup standings.
“There’s no question that the SuperStroke was one of the hottest products to hit the golf industry in 2007 – especially after KJ won with it at the AT&T National in July,” said Creten. “The new ProLine models are a logical extension, taking our exclusive and patented designs to a new level. The original SuperStroke essentially created the jumbo putter grip category. Now, with ProLine, the genuine deal is just getting better.”
At more than an inch and half in diameter – twice that of a conventional putter grip – all SuperStroke grips “fill the hands,” so the tendency to squeeze too tightly is greatly reduced. In addition, the grip’s exclusive and patented, virtually taper-free design promotes even pressure in both the right and left hands, helping to maintain a square putter face. And by keeping the hands “quiet,” the SuperStroke eliminates most wrist action in the putting stroke.
SuperStroke is USGA- and R&A-conforming for regular play and installs in minutes on any putter without any messy adhesives.
