Stop by Booth #2273 at PGA Merchandise Show Jan. 17-19 to try it out
LONGWOOD, Fla. — Esoteric Golf Technology, Europe’s leading authority in putting training systems has packaged their three primary products; the Putting Guide™, Path Finder™ and Square Triangle that will enable the golf instructor operate a putting academy for up to nine students. The complete system, which will be on display in Booth #2273 at the PGA Merchandise Show Jan. 17-19 in Orlando, is referred to as The Putting Guide Pro Training System.
Included is a length and lie meter, which can be used to conduct puter custom, fitting. Also included is a binder filled with suggestions on how to maximize the effect of the entire system on the students.
The star of the system is the high precision Putting Guide. It can be individually adjusted to accommodate virtually any putting stroke. The golfer addresses the telescopic “putter shaft” with a grip on one end and a carriage supported by ball bearings on the bottom. The player trains his/her body to repeat the same putting stroke by rolling the “putter head” on the tracks of the Putting Guide. The shaft can be set at the proper length and lie to fit the golfer’s preference and most accurate position. Also included in the package is an additional carriage for the player’s own putter.
There are three Path Finders included in the system. They can be used to ingrain the proper putting stroke quickly and efficiently in any golfer. The Path Finder is a flat plate with two triangular lines pointing at the target.
On the surface of the plate are six series of holes on the sides of the plate in which the golfer places magnetic carbon fiber pins. The pins represent the outside paths of the putting stroke. The golfer practices his/her stroke inside these pins. If the putter head hits one of the pins, there is a distinctive sound and the pin bends, but immediately rises again. As the golfer grooves his/her stroke, they can move the pins closer together, thus reducing the tolerance for error
Also on the plate’s surface is a small mirror that will enable the golfer to have his/her head in perfect position and train him/her to keep the head still during the putting stroke.
Rounding out the Putting Guide Pro Training System are 10 Square Triangles. The student can take these out on the green and adjust the Square Triangle to fit the break of the putt that’s being practiced and stroke the ball along the triangular lines on the plate. Not only does this aid in proper alignment, it helps improve reading putts as well.
“We believe that a student can learn to improve their putting if properly instructed,” said Lars Samuelsson, Managing Director for Esoteric Golf Technology in the USA. “We developed the Putting Guide Pro Training System with that in mind. If an instructor follows the suggestions in the enclosed binder and uses the system properly, success can be assured.”
