Capitalize on Tour Leadership & Clubmakers, Dealer Partnership

(Vista, CA – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE) Fujikura Composites of America is introducing its new series of shafts for 2008 inspired by its Tour performance leadership and partnership with the world’s leading clubmakers as well as its extensive global Charter Dealer network.

This new series of shafts reflects Fujikura’s leadership and mission in design, materials and process technology and includes:

Rombax Z™ designed for top-level players that desire a low, penetrating ball flight. The Z’s stiff tip and high bend profile is designed to dramatically reduce ball spin and launch angle of drivers and fairway woods. They are available in weights of 54 to 87 grams. Fujikura expects the new RombaxZ to achieve great success on Tour and with better players in 2008.

Sakura Sport™ designed specifically for the female golfer with a faster, stronger swing tempo for drivers, fairway woods and irons. These are available in weights of 60 to 64 grams in woods and irons respectively. The new Sakura Sport expands Fujikura’s shaft offering to this important, discerning and growing market of golfers.

E 200 designed to fit the broadest range of golfers, desiring mid-launch and mid-spin characteristics for control and maximum distance; creating a series exclusive to our network of Charter Dealers. They are available in weights of 57 to 74 grams. These new shafts round out the comprehensive Fit-On series for 2008.

“We are proud to introduce these new series of shafts to our extensive offering,” says Peter R. Sanchez, President/COO of Fujikura. “They have been produced with our innovative research and development capabilities and inspired by insights from our Tour leadership performance and collaboration with leading clubmakers and our proprietary Charter Dealer network.”

“This new 2008 series of shafts meets the specific, customized needs of the best players, accomplished women players and supports our dealers who serve those important players and the majority of players of every age and handicap,” says Sanchez.

Fujikura’s research and development team tests new shaft designs and materials using the most advanced technology in testing and performance to produce knowledge that allows the company to design a range of shaft for all levels of players of ages, skills and handicaps.

The company uses this knowledge to create shafts that meet the exacting standards and demand of the world’s most accomplished players. This high performance Tour proving ground, in which Fujikura has been the leader for the last seven years, takes shaft development to the next level as the company uses the world’s best players’ proprietary performance insights to develop shafts for players of all levels.

Fujikura enjoyed another exceptional year, retaining the #1 Driver and All Woods Shaft Brand position on the PGA, LPGA and Champions Tours. For the seventh straight year, the brand was number one driver shaft brand on the PGA Tour. Fujikura’s premier tour position was highlighted by being the #1 Driver Shaft Brand at all four men’s majors in 2007.

On the LPGA and Champions Tours, Fujikura was the #1 Driver and Wood Shaft brand at their respective U.S. major championships.

Fujikura also showed dramatic, consistent growth over the last three years across all handicaps and ages in shafts used in new drivers and fairway woods/hybrids, according to the most recent Darrell Survey National Consumer Report. The report shows that Fujikura grew 189% in New Driver Usages and 200% in New Fairway/Hybrids, exceeding leading competition from 2005 to 2007.

Fujikura is the primary supplier to many national brand OEM’s offering both proprietary and brand product shaft designs. Fujikura products also can be custom fitted through its network of over 900 Charter Dealers. To learn more about Fujikura, visit www.fujikuragolf.com.
