Eugene, OR, January 16, 2008 – Scratch Golf’s JLM Series wedges and AR-1 Irons made it through to the Finalist round of the recently announced Golf Digest “Hot List” for 2008. In 2007, Scratch Golf wedges earned the distinction as the # 1 Forged Wedge on the Nationwide Tour over the last three months of the season. Scratch Golf’s AR-1 irons emerged from obscurity to earn notice from Golf Digest’s testing panel and capture finalist status. All Scratch Golf equipment is made from Super Soft 1018 Carbon Steel and all Scratch Golf equipment has distinctive grinds to match three different swing types and impact conditions.

About Scratch Golf

Scratch Golf is a premium golf equipment manufacturer dedicated to providing golfers with wedges available in an unprecedented five different grind options. Having made over 3,000 custom wedges, Scratch Golf was able to create a simple system whereby golfers can match their swing characteristics to the right grind for them. Further, Scratch Golf wedges offer outstanding “feel” due to the use of truly forged 1018 Soft Carbon Steel in the Scratch Golf manufacturing process. Scratch Golf insists on providing wedges that offer the precise grain patterns and feel that only a truly forged golf club can provide.

Scratch Golf’s Tour Department has built wedges for many players on various PGA Tours. In 2006 Scratch Golf became the fastest growing forged wedge on all PGA Tours and in 2007, Scratch Golf earned status as the # 1 Forged Wedge On The PGA Nationwide Tour over the last three months of the season! Brenden Pappas used Scratch wedges to tie for 22nd on the Nationwide Tour Money List.
