Contestants Pick Winners of PGA TOUR’s Top Events for Chance to Win $100,000, Hank Haney Lesson and Graphite Design Shafts
(SAN DIEGO, California) — Graphite Design — maker of some of the most widely played graphite driver, fairway wood and hybrid shaft models on the PGA TOUR — welcomes entries to the Graphite Design Fantasy Golf Tour 2008, where contestants pick their favorites in the PGA TOUR’s biggest tournaments for a chance to win $100,000.
Entering the Graphite Design Fantasy Golf Tour is free and requires only a quick registration via the company’s newly redesigned web site (www.gdintl.com, click on Fantasy Challenge). Once registered, contestants choose the five golfers they believe will finish highest in each of golf’s most important events: the 2008 Masters, Players Championship, U.S. Open, British Open and PGA Championship. Just as in golf, the contestant whose team tallies the best score in relation to par wins, with tiebreakers deciding deadlocks.
The first four tournament winners qualify for a chance to win $100,000 in the PGA Championship, and all five winners earn entry into a drawing for a playing lesson from Hank Haney, coach to the world’s No. 1 golfer, and a custom-fit set of Graphite Design shafted clubs. Anyone correctly picking the top five finishers in any tournament could win $10,000.
The prize breakdown:
• Tournament Prizes (5): The winner of each tournament will receive a set of five Graphite Design shafts including one driver shaft, two fairway wood shafts and two utility club shafts. In addition, the first four tournament prize winners will qualify for the chance to win $100,000 by correctly predicting the top three finishers in the 2008 PGA Championship, and all five tournament winners will be entered in the random draw for the first and second prizes described below.
• First Prize (1): A two-day/one-night trip to Dallas for a playing lesson with Hank Haney and a custom-fit set of pro-line golf clubs with Graphite Design shafts.
• Second Prize (1): A custom-fit set of pro-line golf clubs with Graphite Design shafts. The custom fitting will be coordinated by a Graphite Design representative with the winner in the city nearest the winner’s residence.
• $10,000 Tournament Bonus Prizes (5): Any tournament winner selecting the top five golfers in order of finish will win $10,000. One bonus prize is available to be won in each of the five tournaments.
• $100,000 PGA Championship Bonus Prize (1): The four tournament prize winners prior to the PGA Championship are eligible to win $100,000 if they correctly select the top three finishers in order in the PGA Championship. Only one $100,000 bonus prize is available to be won.
