Dominate hybrids shaft count on PGA, Nationwide, Champions Tours
POWAY, Calif. – The winner of the Panama Movistar Championship, the first tournament on the 2008 Nationwide Tour schedule, won using Aldila’s NV shafts in all of his woods. He finished with a 3-under 277 and collected a first place check of $108,000.
Aldila was also triumphant on the Champions Tour as the winner of the Turtle Bay Championship in Kahuku, Hawaii won using Aldila’s NV shafts. The win was his first victory since an injury-shortened 2006 season. He finished two strokes ahead of the field and earned $240,000 to tie the largest purse of his professional career.
The “Hottest Shafts in Golf” continued their hybrid shaft count dominance on the PGA Tour by capturing the hybrid shaft count at the Buick Invitational, their fourth consecutive hybrid count win of 2008 according to the Darrell Survey. Aldila’s hybrids were also the most popular shaft on the Nationwide and Champions Tours as well.
After winning the hybrid shaft count at every Nationwide Tour event in 2007, this week’s win at the Panama Movistar Championship keeps their consecutive win streak in tact.
Aldila was also the number one brand of graphite shafts for consumers with new drivers, fairway woods and hybrid clubs for the third consecutive year, according to the Darrel Survey, 2007 U.S. National Survey.
