Adams Golf Wins 11th Consecutive Hybrid Count on PGA TOUR

PLANO, TEXAS, January 28, 2008 – Adams Golf closed out the first month of action on the PGA TOUR with the #1 hybrid played at all four tournaments, according to the Darrell Survey. Last week’s Buick Invitational marked the fourth tournament of the year and the 11th consecutive PGA TOUR event, dating back to Sept. 2007, that the Idea lineup of hybrids were played by more pros than any other manufacturer’s hybrids. Adams Golf hybrids accounted for over 26 percent of the total hybrids in play at Torrey Pines.

For several years, Adams Golf has dominated the hybrid counts of the Champions and Nationwide Tours, winning every count on both tours in 2007, and more and more equipment has been showing up on the ranges at PGA TOUR events in the past two years.

“There’s a handful of equipment categories, ranging from drivers to hybrids to putters and balls, that manufacturers covet the leadership position on tour, and we’re clearly the leader in the hybrid category on the PGA, Champions and Nationwide Tours,” said Max Puglielli, Adams Golf director of tour operations. “Other companies can make claims but when over 4,800 of our hybrids were played on the three tours last year compared to 2,600 from our closest competitor, that leaves very little doubt which company’s hybrids are preferred by the best players in the world.”

CHAMPIONS TOUR

Adams Golf Tour Staff Pro Jerry Pate picked up his second-career Champions Tour win at the Turtle Bay Championship in Hawaii. Having started the final round four strokes behind the leader, Pate matched the largest come-from-behind victory in the tournament’s history. Adams Golf won the overall wood count, the fairway wood count and the hybrid count in the first full-field event of the season.

NATIONWIDE TOUR

The streak of hybrid count wins continued for Adams Golf on the Nationwide Tour as the company captured the #1 hybrid ranking at the Movistar Panama Championship. Idea hybrids, including the Idea Pro and the Idea a3 Boxer, accounted for 43 percent of the total hybrids in play, compared to 19 percent from the closest competitor.
