CARLSBAD, California-The Callaway Golf Apparel Fall 2008 offerings are led by the introduction of revolutionary FT Performance to its men’s collection.
FT Performance-the next generation of “true luxury performance” knits-is a new proprietary fabric developed exclusively for Callaway Golf Apparel. The technology is based on Callaway Golf’s Fusion® family of golf equipment. FT Performance features moisture management and is anti-microbial, wrinkle resistant and machine washable.

The unique blend of Tencel® with Microfiber Polyester, utilizing a luxury twist, is the catalyst for the next generation of Callaway Collection™. Callaway Golf Apparel has combined the very latest in high-tech fabric fusion to create a garment that feels great and performs under the pressures of competition.
Callaway Golf Apparel has built a reputation on specialized core-spun technology. Recognizing that, Fall 2008 marks the launch of a revolutionary product that will be the benchmark of luxury performance knitwear.
The theme for the FT Performance Fall 2008 line is “Modern Scotland” and it features group names such as “Glasgow” and “Highlands.” The color palette embraces vibrant jewel tones in colors such as Victoria Blue, Briar, Orangeglenn, Pinkstone and Nautical Navy.
The Fall 2008 Callaway Collection is called “Beyond the Fairway.” This line will cater to the upscale executive who values Callaway Golf’s more traditional styles and innovation. This new FT Performance knitwear will become the market leader in true luxury performance and, when paired with the new Tour Authentic® Flat-Front bottoms, the look is complete.
For stylish off-course, clubhouse looks Callaway Golf Apparel is offering Extra Fine Merino/Silk/Cashmere sweaters and high-count Egyptian Cotton wovens with nano-tech finishes, along with the new Mechanical Stretch nano-tech Superfine Wool flat-front pant that is sure to be on every Callaway Collection order.
The FT Performance-infused Callaway Collection’s individual groups for Fall 2008 include:
— “Highlands ” launches into FT Performance with great solid colors in the “Inverness ” polo in dynamic colors such as Briar, Orangeglenn, Victoria Blue and Pinkstone. All tie back to the basics of Black, Nautical Navy and White. Novelty stripes such as the “Perth ” and “Kinross” polos round out the offering, keeping it fresh and innovative.
— “Glasgow” carries into long-sleeve FT Performance solids that are balanced with beautiful Cotton/Rayon traditional striped sweaters and modern-looking zips that have become a signature look for Callaway Collection. Espresso, which really looks strong this season, joins the group color range of Black, Navy and Victoria Blue.
— “Edinburgh” is Callaway Golf’s complete head-to-toe business executive apparel this season. Setting the mood is a wonderful range of solid and fancy Woven shirts, layered with terrific extra-fine Merino Sweaters such as the “Fairley” half-zip and the “Barton ” mockneck. The limited-edition “Bearsdon” jacket, which utilizes a bonded nylon fabric, rounds out the group and creates the Callaway Collection’s overall look.
