MIAMI – Strategic Shaft Technologies, L.C., makers of the patented SST PURE® Shaft Alignment System, announced today that the SST PURE Tour Vans will increase its presence on the professional tours this year by attending more than 30 Tour events in 2008. Beginning with the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic, the SST PURE mobile fitting facilities have begun converging on the PGA, Nationwide and European Tour events throughout the year, providing the world’s best players with the industry’s most successful and most accurate shaft performance enhancement tool in professional golf.
In 2007, SST PURE Shaft Alignment Technology set new records with impressive results, including 18 PGA Tour victories, two major championships, the Canadian Open and the Order of Merit for the second consecutive year. SST PURE-aligned shafts delivered total earnings of more than $94 million, surpassing the 2006 mark by $24 million.

SST PURE® Shaft Alignment is now used by more than 200 players on the PGA and European Tour and is available to recreational golfers of all skill levels through a network of custom clubmakers and manufacturers throughout North America, Europe and Australia.

Using proprietary computer software and sensitive data-acquisition sensors, the SST PURE® shaft alignment process analyzes the structural irregularities that exist to some degree in every golf shaft and locates the shaft’s most stable orientation. By assembling the club with the shaft in its SST PURE® orientation, off-line bending and twisting of the shaft are minimized and impact repeatability on the center of the clubface by the golfer improves by up to 51 percent. The process can be performed on existing clubs, new clubs or new shafts – steel or graphite – from all major manufacturers.
