Aldila continues unbeaten streak to remain #1 hybrid shaft on PGA Tour

February 6, 2008

POWAY, Calif. – The “Hottest Shafts in Golf” continued their supremacy on the PGA Tour capturing the hybrid shaft manufacturer count at the FBR Open in Scottsdale, Ariz. and giving Aldila five wins in the first five Tour events for 2008.

“Hybrid shafts are specifically made for hybrid clubs and while some companies may think a shaft is a shaft, Aldila designs and manufactures shafts to fit particular applications that best maximizes the performance of that particular type of club,” said Stewart Bahl, Aldila’s Marketing Manager.

The dominance in 2008 follows on the heels of a very successful 2007 season for Aldila. According to the Darrell Survey, Aldila hybrid shafts were used by more players on the PGA and Nationwide Tours in 2007 than any other shaft brand. In fact, Aldila captured Golf’s Grand Slam in 2007 as the most popular wood and hybrid shaft at every Major Championship on the PGA Tour.

On the Nationwide Tour, Aldila is the reigning champion winning every hybrid shaft count in 2007. They continued that streak in 2008 by capturing the first hybrid shaft count at the Panama Movistar Championship.

Aldila is not only the most popular hybrid shaft on the Tours, but they are also the number one brand of graphite shafts for consumers with new drivers, fairway woods and hybrid clubs for the third consecutive year, according to the Darrel Survey, 2007 U.S. National Survey.

Aldila has the unique ability to define the intangibles of the game of golf. To translate numbers into theory, theory into practice, and practice into perfection. We do the experimenting so you don’t have to. Pushing success to the edge and redefining how power should feel. Are you playing Aldila, or just graphite?
