Acclaimed Golf Instructor Will Provide Game Improvement Content and Editorial on www.GolfChannel.com
ORLANDO (Feb. 8, 2008) – Brad Brewer, president of the Brad Brewer Golf Academy at Shingle Creek Golf Club, located at Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel in Orlando, has long been regarded as one of the best golf instructors in the country. Now millions of golf aficionados – and devotees of the GOLF CHANNEL — are about to find out why.
Brewer has been named the Lead Instructor for www.GolfChannel.com, the Internet arm of the GOLF CHANNEL. The Web site pulls from the cable network boasting a worldwide distribution of more than 110 million households, thereby presenting Brewer with an extensive assembly to share his knowledge and passion for the game.
Brewer, a Golf Magazine "Top 100 Teacher in America", will have hundreds of chances to help golfers improve their games by viewing him on www.GolfChannel.com. Over the next three years, Brewer will provide 600 instructional tips annually, four to five weekly editorials and help improve an interactive learning experience for golfers of all levels of play.
The lessons went live January 14.
"Brad’s reputation as one of golf’s premier teachers of the game of golf is unquestioned. We’re honored to have him working with us," says GOLF CHANNEL’S Senior Vice-Present of New Media and Business Development, Shannon O’Neill. "The web is a tremendous platform for delivering relevant and useful instruction, and Brad’s teaching philosophy fits perfectly within our vision."
Brewer is the author of two books with one in the works: "My Golf Journal," "Golf for Everybody" and "Mentored by the King" with an expected publishing date of 2008. He has been named the North Florida PGA Teacher of the Year, Top 100 Teacher by Golf Magazine and has competed successfully on the Australasian PGA Tour and Hogan/Nike Tours.
"I am grateful and honored for this opportunity to share my passion and life long experience as a player and teacher of the game with so many golfers around the world. The Internet is such a great delivery tool. And with the newest in technologies, our goal is to deliver an interactive, comprehensive learning experience for all abilities of play with a fun and simple approach. We want to help guests have more fun playing better golf when the time is right, at a world-class location and based upon personal game improvement goals and objectives through the GOLF CHANNEL’S Online Academy," said Brewer.
Brewer’s new association with the GOLF CHANNEL will reach beyond the Web site involvement. The GOLF CHANNEL Online Academy is partnering with the Brad Brewer Golf Academy to provide a premium golf school experience with the Stay-Learn & Play packages at Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel in Orlando and corporate events worldwide. The exclusive premium offerings will be offered on specific dates that are expected to begin during the first quarter of 2008.
