Newport Beach, CA – Energy Grip, Inc. made its presence known on the PGA Tour this week, and they made it known with authority! For most companies introducing a brand new product on the PGA Tour, it can take weeks, even months to find their way into one Tour Player’s bag. Not for Energy Grip!
This week at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-AM, one of the most highly televised events of the year, Energy Grip found its way into the hands of not one…but 7 PGA Tour players!
“We’re off to a great start,” said Jon Laws, Energy Grip’s PGA Tour Rep. “I’ve worked on the PGA Tour for some very well known equipment companies in the past and I’ve never been able to do anything like this before. Putting grips on seven Tour Players’ clubs the very first week out here speaks volumes for how amazing this grip feels and the technology behind it.”
Patented technology developed at the University of Texas features an innovative, proprietary design that solves the problem of harmful shock and vibration. Strategically placed longitudinal cavities, or “air pockets”, provide a distinct advantage to golfers of all skill levels. The “air pockets” create radial ribs which in turn allow torsion to be isolated providing an unparalleled vibration energy dissipation system. A combination of the outside of the grip or “mass” and the radial ribs, create the dampening mechanism. By placing evenly spaced receptacles in the grip, we have determined that more vibration is released through the system, rather than into a player’s hands or arms. In addition, Energy Grips remain traditional in player “feel” and “feedback”.
