LAKE MARY, FL – The One-On-One Appointment Show will be held for the fifth time at the 18th Annual ING Spring Conference May 27-31 at the Atlantic City Sheraton. And odds are, when the post-conference survey is completed, it will prove to once again be the most popular element of the conference.
The non-profit International Network of Golf conducts this annual gathering of golf media and business leaders to exchange information, display product and develop and nurture business relationships. Anyone in the golf industry and media is invited to attend (www.inggolf.com).
And nearly everyone at the conference can benefit from participation in the ING One-On-One Appointment Show. It was created to place an emphasis on business relations between the media and golf companies, resorts, destinations and entrepreneurs.
Participating companies set up tabletop displays. Beginning at 8 a.m., private meetings will be held every 15 minutes, for four hours. The exhibitor and the visiting media member share the time, with the goal being to create win-win-win programs for the company, the media and the audience, whether it be advertising, feature stories or special promotions. At the very least, a business relationship is established or nurtured.
It is also a perfect time for writers to gather story material and TV/Radio broadcasters to do interviews.
The ING staff gathers all meeting requests ahead of the conference and makes appropriate matches for the appointments. The entire schedule is determined and published prior to the show to allow for adequate planning time.
The One-On-One Appointment Show is set for Thursday morning, May 29 at host hotel, the beautiful Atlantic Cit Sheraton, situated next door to the Atlantic City Convention Center. It is just one element of an action-packed ING schedule. The lineup includes:
1)The State Of The Industry Panel. Industry leaders Joe Steranka (PGA of America) and Mike Hughes (NGCOA) will be joined by others to bring our attendees up to date on the current state and direction of the golf business.
2)The Demo Lab will feature two dozen companies displaying their latest equipment and training gear on the practice range and green at the Marriott Seaview Resort.
3)The International Pairs World Qualifier. A two-player team that wins this 18-hole net points competition at Atlantic City Country Club will represent ING and the USA in the International Pairs World Finals in Scotland in September, an expenses-paid trip.
4)The ING Fashion Show. ING members will take to the runway as models, sporting the latest and greatest fashions from some of the industry’s top apparel companies.
5)Education and self-improvement programs galore, from communication, to marketing, to use of the Internet. There is something for everyone.
Helping to kick off the week in a positive and energetic way is motivational speaker Dom Famularo, the author of, "The Cycle of Self Empowerment." He has toured the world performing motivational speeches that always end with standing ovations. He has a unique, breezy style, blending a mix of humor, story telling and philosophy. His unique mix of talents – drumming and motivational speaking – has two common threads: passion and intensity.
