HARVEST, Ala. (February 19, 2008) – Balance-Certified Golf, developer of the number one shaft weighting system on Tour, congratulates Scott Hoch and Tom Jenkins on their 1st and T2 finishes at the 2008 Ace Group Classic in Naples Florida last Sunday.
For Hoch, this latest victory was back to back with his win from the week before at the Allianz Championship in Boca Raton. He birdied the 18th hole in regulation play to join a four way sudden death playoff that included Tom Jenkins. Hoch and Jenkins are both Balance-Certified Golf staff players and serve as technical advisors to the company. The foursome started the playoff on the 18th hole and Hoch sunk an 8-foot birdie putt to lock up the win. Jenkins tied for second.
“We heartily congratulate Scott and Tom on their strong performances this week on the Champions Tour,” said Jeff Lindner, president of Balance-Certified Golf. “Scott and Tom are both longtime users of Balance-Certified Golf’s technologies and have actually helped us to refine our designs significantly over the years. It was great to have two staff players in the hunt on Sunday and even better when they finished 1st and T2.”
“I have been playing some of the best golf of my career since I began my association with Balance-Certified Golf,” Hoch said. “This system helps me slow my hands down and I can feel the clubhead better. My stroke is much more consistent.”
Tom Jenkins added, "I’ve been using a Balance-Certified equipped putter for the past three to four years and it has helped my putting considerably. I experiment with the different weights, which helps me fine tune my touch for the greens. With Balance-Certified installed in my putter, I have found that the butt end of the putter always moves toward the target on the follow through. It has eliminated the most common putting error, the forward wrist breakdown."
Balance-Certified Golf’s industry-leading back-weighting technology was developed by a former NASA engineering team in 1999. The Pro-Balance line introduces strategically located weights that can be used to adjust a golf club’s vibration and response characteristics and can be installed on any brand of golf equipment and any club in the bag. Balance-Certified’s scientific approach to golf club dynamics helps transform “feel” into a definable and tunable parameter. Independent testing has demonstrated that the Balance-Certified Golf system delivers increased ball speed in drivers, greater iron play control and a tangible benefit in “feel” and distance control of putters.
