Marshall/Cracraft Golf and Community Management
(Tetonia, Idaho) – Bob Marshall and Sean Cracraft, two prominent leaders in the golf industry, have joined forces to create Marshall/Cracraft Golf and Community Management. The goal of the company is to integrate functions of the community under one “hospitality” umbrella. This strategy provides significant savings for the development partners and unparallel service to the owners within the managed community.
Bob Marshall has been involved in golf and community development for over 30 years. Upon graduating from Stanford University in 1971, Bob began his golf business career by teaming up with Orrin Vincent to form OB Sports. Bob was the “B” in OB Sports.
Over the next 20 years, Bob was instrumental in managing, developing, construction, and operations of all of their projects including Edgewood Tahoe, Nevada; The Reserve, Oregon; and Washington National, Washington.
After leaving OB Sports, Bob took on the role of managing Peterschmidt Ventures, a venture capital company. During his tenure he invested and consulted in various projects including becoming a partner at Teton Springs Resort, Idaho. Bob’s vast experience in golf, combined with his competitive spirit that he honed as the Co-Captain of the Stanford baseball team, has made Bob one of the most respected leaders in golf today.
Sean Cracraft began his golf career as the first graduate of the Professional Golf Management program at Mississippi State University. While at MSU, Sean interned at TPC at Sawgrass, Shoal Creek, and Long Cove Club. Upon graduating, Sean worked at Baltimore Country Club before heading west and joining up with Bob Marshall and OB Sports at Teton Pines, Wyoming.
After moving over to the golf course maintenance side of the business in 1993, Sean has served as the Director of Golf at Sunriver Resort, Oregon; Vice President of Golf Operations, Destination Hotels & Resorts; and General Manager at Suncadia Resort, Washington. Sean’s experience as a PGA Professional, GCSAA Golf Course Superintendent and hospitality executive is a great compliment to Bob and helps form a dynamic partnership in MCGCM.
