Paula Relies on iQ 180 ball in 2nd Win in 4 Starts
Covington, Ga. – LPGA Tour star and Precept staff player, Paula Creamer, used impressive shot-making and deft control around the greens (with her signature pink Precept ball) on Sunday to post a bogey-free final round 66 (6-under par), in-route to victory at the Fields Open in Hawaii. The victory, which completes the career “Aloha Slam” for Creamer, is her first this year and second in her last four starts on the LPGA Tour.
“To win so early in the season is a thrill,” said Creamer. “It shows that all the hard work I’ve put in during the off-season has paid off. Being part of a shootout is always exciting. My pink Lady iQ 180 cut through the Hawaiian winds and gave me the confidence to fire at pins when the tournament was on the line."
The iQ 180 ball features Seamless Cover TechnologyTM for ultimate consistency in ball-flight. Unlike competitors’ balls, Precept SCTTM assures that more of the surface of the ball is covered with dimples, resulting in added accuracy and consistency. In addition, the pink Lady iQ 180 also relies on Precept’s patented, Gradational Compression core technology, using varying degrees of firmness from the inside to outside of the core in order to create greater repulsion and more distance off the tee.
“For the second-straight season, Paula has recorded the first victory for our worldwide Tour team,” said Dan Murphy, Senior Director of Marketing – Precept/Bridgestone Golf. “Her on-course performance has been outstanding, and that combined with the excitement she generates among fans, and her work to grow the game among young people, means that she stands for everything the Precept brand stands for. She is the perfect ambassador.”
Creamer’s win at Fields Open is her fifth LPGA TOUR victory and second with the pink Lady iQ 180 golf ball.
The Lady iQ 180 golf ball is available in pink, yellow, traditional white and pearl white and features a suggested retail price of $30 per dozen. For more information on the iQ series of balls and all of the 2008 Precept products visit www.preceptgolf.com.
