Resort destination caters to families and juniors with family course program

French Lick, IN (March 5, 2008) – French Lick Resort Casino has partnered with US Kids Golf, the premier junior golf company in the country, in developing a Family Course program at the resort. The Family course, the 2nd of its kind in Indiana, will be developed and part of the newly renovated Tom Bendelow golf course.

The Family course is designed for families who want to escape and enjoy a round of golf with no pressure of intimidation, other golfers pressing them, and a fun and enjoyable atmosphere spending time together. The course is designed specifically for kids and even beginners to play the game much easier by cutting the yardage in half creating a fun family golf experience.

"French Lick Resort has long been a supporter of Junior Golf. French Lick was a long time host of the Indiana Age Group Championship, The Mountain Dew Junior Tour, and was an early site for the AJGA", said Dave Harner, Director of Golf at French Lick Resort Casino. "We are very pleased to be a part of this program that will not only help bring more junior players to the game but help make golf a family activity".

The Family course at French Lick Resort Casino will include two sets of tee markers. Level one will measure 1100 yards followed by the yellow tees measuring 1900 yards, and will include a special scorecard for all family members to enjoy. The course will include two par 3’s, five par 4’s and two par 5’s which provide a fun challenge to juniors and beginners.

The cost to experience the Family course at French Lick Resort Casino will be FREE for kids under the age of 12 and $55 (18-holes) and $35 (9-holes) for kids/adults 13 and over. In addition, the resort will have loaner sets for kids under 12 as well as US Kids Clubs for sale. Kids will also be able to take golf lessons from the golf staff for 50% off the regular instruction rates. A Family Golf Academy will also be coming online soon.

The French Lick Resort Casino has undergone a $500 million historic renovation and casino development program, which includes the French Lick Springs Hotel, the new French Lick Casino and the West Baden Springs Hotel.
